It’s all go at sounddelivery HQ as we finalise the last details of the Social Media Exchange which takes place in just under two weeks on February 5.  We’ll be bringing you a dynamic line up of charity and media sector experts who will lead our interactive and practical Masterclasses. We recently announced Dr. Sue Black OBE, a leading  women in tech and recently named in the list of top 50 women in tech in Europe, would be our Keynote speaker. We have been inaundated with messages of excitement, we can’t wait either.

In case you were still undecided, we thought we’d share with you five reasons why the Social Media Exchange is like no other and shouldn’t be missed…

1.   Build Storytelling Confidence

It’s a great place to build your confidence in storytelling and digital know-how. You’ll take part in an interactive and practical day of learning and networking, and leave feeling empowered and motivated to put your new and honed skills into practice within your organisation.

‘‘Really informative and have a lot to feedback to lifeline. The best conference I’ve been to in years – brilliant in every way’ – Jonathan Haycocks, Lifeline Project

2.   Learn new skills

You’ll be able to curate your own personal training plan by selecting your programme of 10 masterclasses, and lightning talks. Sessions this year, are led by charity sectors experts such as NHS England, Crisis, Parkinson’s UK, Phoenix Futures and The Bike Project. As well as media sector experts from the BBC, Channel 4 News, HuffPost UK and Lambent Productions. You will leave with practical skills and insights that you can apply immediately to your work.

“SMEX17 was such a fantastic event. I was blown away by the high quality of the workshops. I’m really grateful I could come along and learn, it was such a worthwhile event.” – Tove Andersson, Foyer Federation

3.   Network and learn from others (in a safe space)

The Social Media Exchange attracts delegates ranging from large charities to small community groups and Expert Citizens. You’ll have many chances to network, and to create new connections and opportunities for collaboration.

‘‘This was really useful and timely. I learned a lot and will be using it in my work. Great synergies come out of this day!” Raluca Badan, Asylos

4.   Feel inspired

The Social Media Exchange will leave you feeling inspired to gather stories and discover new ways to share them with the public. Telling a great story can inspire volunteers, engage donors and motivate campaigners. Hearing of new and different storytelling techniques throughout the day will ignite your ideas and kick-start your 2018 campaigns.
