Rosie is an academic, activist and sex worker who is passionate about making space for people experiencing marginalisation to be experts in their field. She is an academic tutor at Sunderland University, and works at National Ugly Mugs, a charity which aims to end all forms of violence against sex workers through providing safety tools, victim support and resources to support broader health, wellbeing, and provide sex workers with greater autonomy over their lives. As part of these roles, she engages in research and advocacy which aims to place the lives experiences, needs and rights of sex workers at their core. She is passionate about breaking the stigma which prevents sex workers from being equal members of society with access to justice, protection and respect.
