Indra is currently Deputy Chief Executive at Action for Race Equality, where she has worked for the last twelve years. During this time, she was instrumental in seeing the organisation double in size (turnover and staffing). She has championed race equality for over fifteen years, leading on large and small programmes to close the disparity gap between Global Majority communities and others; making a difference particularly around youth employment.

With a twenty-five-plus year career as a Programme Manager working in the private, public and third sectors, Indra has driven change to ensure that, in particular, the young people can lead positive lives.

As a consultant in the Further Education sector, Indra has led on the development of new Trailblazer Apprenticeship Standards, alongside delivering a range of apprenticeship programmes.

"I am absolutely delighted to have been selected for the Spokesperson Leadership Programme, as I know it was a highly competitive process. I hope that undertaking SLP will enable me to hone skills that allow me to showcase the important work of ARE and be a voice for the communities I am from and that we support.
