Daisy Ashe is the Executive Director of Development at Reach Out and Recover (ROAR) Kent CIC, a lived experience recovery organisation supporting Individuals and families affected by addiction. Having been in recovery for over six years, Daisy brings both personal insight and professional experience to her work, helping to shape services that are rooted in empathy, connection, and reactivity.

Daisy began her journey with ROAR as a volunteer and quickly progressed into leadership, now overseeing service development, fundraising, and organisational growth. She is a passionate advocate for challenging stigma and ensuring that people with lived experience are not only heard, but listened to in the spaces where decisions are made.

Her work focuses on creating more compassionate systems and improving outcomes for those facing addiction and multiple disadvantages. She is committed to creating more compassionate, effective and inclusive approaches to recovery support.

“I feel incredibly honoured to be selected for the SLP. This is an opportunity to ensure that the voices of people affected by addiction are heard where it matters most and to help change the narrative surrounding addiction from one of stigma and personal failings to understanding, resilience and hope.”
