Trustee (Volunteer) – Sounddelivery Media
Location: Remote (England based charity)
Time commitment: Approx. 1–2 days per month

About Sounddelivery Media
Sounddelivery Media is an award-winning charity that works with charities, civil societies and grassroots organisations. We specialise in supporting lived-experience storytelling, ensuring that people with direct experience of social issues are heard, respected and fairly represented.
Through training, production and strategic communications support, we help leaders use audio and digital media to drive understanding, influence policy and inspire action.
The Opportunity
We are seeking up to three new Trustees to strengthen our Board as we enter an exciting new phase of growth. We are particularly keen to hear from individuals with experience in:
- Law – Charity governance, media law, intellectual property, contracts, or regulatory compliance
- Journalism – Editorial leadership, ethical storytelling, media standards, or audio production
- Fundraising – Trusts and foundations, major donors, corporate partnerships, or strategic income development
As a Trustee, you will provide strategic oversight, ensure strong governance, and support the long-term sustainability of Sounddelivery Media. You will act as a critical friend to the leadership team and help us expand our impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the strategic direction and governance of the organisation
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Provide expert advice in your specialist area
- Champion Sounddelivery Media’s mission and values
- Support income generation and partnership development where appropriate
What We’re Looking For
- Commitment to ethical, inclusive storytelling
- Understanding of governance and Trustee responsibilities (training available)
- Strategic thinking and sound judgement
- Willingness to dedicate time to quarterly board meetings (remote) and occasional sub-committee work
- A collaborative and supportive approach
