Sheetal has been a journalist at the BBC for over 15 years, working across radio, TV and online.

Sheetal has been a journalist at the BBC for over 15 years, working across radio, TV and online. She’s worked on some of the biggest stories in that time, including Brexit, London bombings, the Iraq war, and the 20th Anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Her original stories have appeared on BBC News, Today programme, World Service, online and internationally. Sheetal is an editor and presenter on the BBC Asian Network, and has also presented and produced various programmes on BBC World Service. She’s also worked as a journalism trainer in Dhaka, Bangladesh, which added to her extensive experience of working abroad, both in entertainment and news and current affairs programming.  More recently, Sheetal has been developing new news formats for BBC News including live programming and podcasts for young audiences.
