The voice of positivelynegative.uk, existing to share lived experiences, observations and insights on a range of subjects, keeping it honest, messy and maybe a little bit funny, Ellie is a firm believer in “tragic optimism” – a fancy way of saying, “Yeah, things are rubbish, but there’s still hope if we face it head-on.”

By her own admission, Ellie has had her share of tough times, made questionable life choices and battled with her own personal “weirdisms”. However, through adversity, she has also witnessed growth – both in herself and others – serving as a reminder that even the hardest challenges can lead to meaningful change and deeper connections.

She has been actively involved in various projects alongside public and private sector partners since 2017. Ellie has supported hundreds of people bereaved by suicide in her role as a volunteer peer support group facilitator for national charity Survivors of Bereavement by suicide. She is a co-founder member of Voices – People with Living Experience of Suicide alongside councils, public health teams, the NHS and police throughout Hampshire and is non-executive director of Luna Foundation CIC.
