Ben McCay is advocate for people with learning disabilities and works as a consultant for the charity My Life My Choice.
Ben McCay joined My Life My Choice (MLMC) in September 2017 after he attended the Banbury self-advocacy group. He became more involved in the charity; joining Campion’s, a campaigning group and began working for MLMC as a consultant. He also undertook a training course at Oxford University to further develop his skills.
Subsequently he joined the Oxfordshire County Council Co-Production Board, which oversees the development of Adult Social Care projects across Oxfordshire. Ben became co-chair of the trustees at MLMC in November 2018 and still sit as co-chair today.
Ben enjoys traveling abroad, particularly places of historical interest. He loves going to the theatre to watch musicals and enjoys music festivals, live gigs and 80’s concerts.
