Final tickets remain for sounddelivery’s flagship charity conference, Social Media Exchange.

The event is returning for its eighth year in Newcastle on the 5th of March. With a fantastic panel of inspiring speakers, this conference is the perfect opportunity to kick off 2020 with a creative boost – gaining the skills, confidence and tools to harness the power of digital storytelling.

Why do charities need to focus on storytelling?

Every charity has a story to tell. Whether you’re advocating for change, telling your funders about the importance of your work, or raising awareness of your cause, you all have one thing in common – you’re all telling stories.

With storytelling at the heart of the everything we do in the charity sector, attending this conference is the perfect opportunity to refine your skills and gain the confidence to make your stories spark the imagination and encourage your audiences to take action.

‘Every year attending SMEX provides me with new skills, new ideas and inspiration from meeting amazing people’ Russell Benson, Dogs Trust

What will I get out of the day?

The conference offers masterclasses, workshops, lightning talks and surgeries on everything from engaging with the media and running digital campaigns to telling stories through photography and getting the most out of your social media platforms. You can create your own personal learning plan by choosing the talks and topics that most interest you – ensuring you get the most out of the day and can implement new ideas and strategies at your organisation right away.

There will also be plenty of opportunities to network with your charity sector colleagues – with delegates from small to large charities, social enterprises, community groups and voluntary organisations. The supportive environment of the conference is the perfect setting to create new relationships, share skills and knowledge, and connect with new collaborators.

“SMEX is THE event for all charity storytellers – from the CEO to frontline delivery staff, telling our story better is all our responsibility” Gemma Pettman

Who will be speaking at the Social Media Exchange conference?
