YHA operates a network of more than 200 Youth Hostels across England and Wales. Their accommodation is open to all and everyone can experience a warm welcome, comfortable accommodation, good food and affordable prices.

The YHA charitable objective forms the basis of all their work: “To help all, especially young people of limited means, to a greater knowledge, love and care of the countryside, and appreciation of the cultural values of towns and cities, particularly by providing Youth Hostels or other accommodation for them in their travels, and thus to promote their health, recreation and education.”

sounddelivery was commissioned to produce a video highlighting the work YHA does involving young people. We spent a week in the Lake District in August 2007 visiting YHA Do it for Real Camps and Breaks 4 Kids projects meeting and interviewing young people.

Without these kinds of opportunities many of these young people would not have had the opportunity to get a break like this. This video shares their stories.
