Video for the Web

Amit gets to grips with the cameraVideo can be a powerful way to communicate with your audience. Eighty per cent of internet users worldwide watch video over the web. If it’s not already part of your online strategy, now’s the time to get started with creating videos for the web.

Our one-day Video for the Web workshop will introduce you to the potential of video as a storytelling tool and give you the practical experience you need to start producing high quality video content for your website. In true sounddelivery style you’ll get hands-on experience with film-making and editing equipment. You’ll also learn advanced techniques to help you get the most from interviews.

What you will learn

By the end of the day you will know how to:

  • understand different video formats and decide which ones are best suited to your organisation and project
  • how the storyboarding process works
  • plan a shoot, including selecting locations
  • use recording equipment with confidence
  • use advanced interviewing techniques to make your interviewee comfortable and get the best content from your interview
  • edit your material using powerful but affordable editing software (Adobe Premier Elements)
  • prepare your video to share online across multiple platforms.

How your organisation will benefit

By learning how to plan, film and edit video for the web, your in-house team will be able to quickly and easily create compelling video content on a small budget. Telling stories through videos will help you to:

  • provide engaging content for your websites, blogs and Facebook pages and to sell-in to media outlets
  • bring your work to life and communicate your messages to a wide audience
  • strengthen your fundraising campaigns by letting your case studies do the talking
  • raise the profile of your organisation and build a buzz around your work
  • provide feedback to donors and supporters.
