Training approach
At the heart of every sounddelivery training session is the principle of learning by doing. Our workshops are interactive and hands-on – you’ll work on live projects throughout the day, whether it’s setting up your own Twitter account or blog, or producing a podcast or video for the web.
Our aim is to give you the practical skills and confidence to put your new knowledge to use when you get back to work. You’ll leave our training session informed, inspired and empowered to get stuck into more digital media projects right away!
When you sign up for training with sounddelivery, you’ll get:
Small group sizes
We keep our training groups small – around eight people, and never more than ten people. This group size means you’ll get the benefit of interacting in a group, as well as personal attention from our trainer throughout the day.
One PC per person
There’s a time and a place for sharing, but in our training sessions each participant has their own PC to use. This means you get the most of your training day, with no time wasted peering over people’s shoulders or waiting your turn. The same goes for audio and video equipment – we’ll always make sure there’s plenty of kit to go around.
Inspiring and relevant learning
You won’t find us lecturing from the front of a classroom, with participants watching the clock or nodding off after lunchtime. As well as being hands-on, our training sessions are packed full of interesting case studies and inspiring examples that will be relevant to your own work and objectives. It’s quite simple: learning that is interesting and fun is more effective.
Customisation and flexibility
We can design a tailor-made training day that is customised to your precise learning needs, but even if you go for one of our regular group workshops, we won’t simply deliver an off-the-shelf package that may or may not give you what you’re looking for. We know that one size does not fit all and we’re flexible enough to adapt our training content to suit the needs of the participants, even if they have different levels of expertise.
Experienced practitioners
Your trainer will be a highly experienced practitioner as well as an engaging teacher. Our team of trainers includes broadcast journalists and producers who honed their skills at the BBC and social media innovators with years of experience in the non-profit sector. They’re also lovely, friendly people, who won’t bamboozle you with jargon (we’re big fans of plain English around here) and will be more than happy to chat over tea and biscuits during breaks. An ongoing partnership
We won’t love you and leave you at the end of the training day. We offer ongoing support and guidance to everyone we train - you just need to pick up the phone, drop us an email or even pop into the office (although it’s probably best to check someone will be in first!) You can also keep in touch with us and other people we’ve trained at our Facebook page.
Affordable pricing
We offer a tiered pricing structure that takes into account the different budgets of our diverse client base. At a time when many organisation’s training budgets are being squeezed, we’re proud that our clients tell us we offer excellent value for money.
