#soundtalks – The Power of the Radio 4 Appeal

sounddelivery and the Third Sector PR and Communications Network hosted a Q&A session with Sally Flatman, the producer of the BBC Radio 4 Appeal. She talked about what makes a successful appeal and how she’s now using social and digital media, such as Twitter and audio slideshows, to extend the reach of the Appeals beyond the radio audience.

Conference reporting at the London Advice Conference 2011

For this year’s London Advice Conference, organised by advice UK, Citizens Advice, Law Centres Federation and Lasa, sounddelivery was employed as “conference reporter” to capture interviews with key speakers and delegates and create a highlights report of the day. The interviews were uploaded to AudioBoo and tweeted out over the course of the day allowing Twitter followers of the conference to engage with the content.

The sounddelivery team will be channelling their inner Russell Crowe at the end of July as we prepare to enter the arena for the Museum of London’s Gladiator Games. We’ve been commissioned to support the Museum’s youth volunteers to make a short video and reportage project for the event which is taking place at London’s Guildhall.

The National Portrait Gallery offers free Visualising Portraits picture descriptions for Blind and Partially Sighted Visitors on the last Thursday of each month. To help promote their work the Gallery commissioned sounddelivery to produce a series of audio features to illustrate what happens at the sessions and encourage more people to attend.

A fantastic project with a fantastic group of young people. The Renaissance East Midlands funded Audio Trail at Crich Tramway Village was produced by a group of 7 teenagers from Highfields School in Matlock who spent their half-term holiday working with sounddelivery and creative writer, Linda Kempton.
