Powerful Podcasting – Wednesday 28th September

[ September 28, 2011; 10:00 am to 5:30 pm. ] As part of Renaissance East Midlands training programme we are running our one day Podcasting workshop at the Phoenix square in Leicester. The workshop will show you how to collect stories, case studies, interviews and sound effects which you can use to create engaging podcasts to contribute to your collections. You will gain practical experience of audio editing, creating MP3 files and sharing your podcast online.

My Bowes Park – a community project in north London

OneTwoEight is a small community centre in Myddleton Road, North London, which aims to create a space for the local community to come together for different groups and projects. sounddelivery was commissioned to produce an intergenerational project, titled “My Bowes Park”, to bring young and older people together from the local area and create a snapshot of what it’s like to live in the Bowes Park area.

Carers UK Multimedia Project

We’re thrilled to have started 2011 will a flourish. sounddelivery has been commissioned by the charity Carers UK to produce a series of multi-media case studies using audio, video and photography. These stories will be hosted on a soon to-be-launched website as well as by other departments with the organisations.

Powerful Podcasting – Thursday 6th October

[ October 6, 2011; 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. ] The one day Powerful Podcasting course will teach you how to carry out interviews and learn the skills you need to collect stories and case studies for your organisation. You’ll learn how to structure your interviews and podcasts, edit your material using Audacity, create an RSS feed to host your podcasts on iTunes and take advantage of audio sharing sites like AudioBoo and SoundCloud.

SONY Award Nominations

The nominations are out for this year’s Sony Awards – the audio equivalent of the Oscars and its great to see UK charities up there with the likes of the BBC and commercial radio giants. Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Prison Radio Association have been listed for their community programming, and a sounddelivery favourite – the Hackney Podcast – has been nominated in the Best Internet Programme Category.
