sounddelivery wins Youth Engagement Award

We’re delighted to announce that a project developed and delivered by sounddelivery for Crich Tramway Village has won the “Working with Children and Young People” award at the Derbyshire Heritage Awards. The project involved young people creating an audio trail to guide visitors through the museum’s restored period village streets.

Crich Tramway Museum: Audio trail

Crich Tramway Village in Derbyshire had been given funding from the Renaissance East Midlands Mubu project to create an audio trail with a group of young people. They asked us to help them plan and produce the trail, working alongside a creative writer.

A fantastic project with a fantastic group of young people. The Renaissance East Midlands funded Audio Trail at Crich Tramway Village was produced by a group of 7 teenagers from Highfields School in Matlock who spent their half-term holiday working with sounddelivery and creative writer, Linda Kempton.

East Midlands look out – MuBu is on the way. We’ve just finished training a fantastic group of museum staff from a range of museums who are taking their first steps into the world of digital media. From creating audio tours and short films to multi-media social history archives: this group are now armed with the skills to capture the memories and amazing stories from people in the region.

New digital projects in Matlock and Mansfield
