The half-day conference aimed to spark a debate about how to communicate sensitively and appropriately about mental health. We partnered with societyguardian.co.uk to produce a pilot mental health podcast to mark Mental Health Action Week 2008. The magazine-style programme – the first societyguardian had ever commissioned – featured psychiatrist Paul Keedwell, author and columnist Clare Allan and chief executive of the Mental Health Foundation, Andrew McCulloch. Clare previewed the TV adapation of her novel Poppy Shakespeare and poet Bose Dania talked about her experiences of depression.
