#soundtalks – The Power of the Radio 4 Appeal

She talked about what makes a successful appeal and how she’s now using social and digital media, such as Twitter and audio slideshows, to extend the reach of the Appeals beyond the radio audience.

Give Us A Break – a project supporting carers in Hampshire

There are six million carers in the UK with many of them experiencing social isolation and unable to take time out from their caring role. Caring is a subject that has always been close to our hearts and this led us to set up our charitable arm, soundinnovation. soundinnovation’s first project, Give Us A Break, aimed to ease the burden of caring for a group of carers in Hampshire by providing a few days away, as well as ongoing support over the phone and online. This short slideshow brings together some of the amazing images from the project with thoughts and feelings from the carers involved.

Family Holiday Association and Thomson Airways

I’m sure we’ve all dipped into our pockets on the flight home from a holiday and given our last few cents or dollars to the cabin crew’s charity. But have you ever considered what happens to those coins or notes once you leave the plane? sounddelivery was asked to produce a short film on behalf of the Family Holiday Association to reveal how notes and coins from all over the world are collected together and “recycled” for future use.

My Bowes Park – a community project in north London

OneTwoEight is a small community centre in Myddleton Road, North London, which aims to create a space for the local community to come together for different groups and projects. sounddelivery was commissioned to produce an intergenerational project, titled “My Bowes Park”, to bring young and older people together from the local area and create a snapshot of what it’s like to live in the Bowes Park area.

Mansfield Museum: Digital time-capsule

Talkin’ ‘Bout My Generation – London Youth Intergenerational Project

Commissioned by the Beth Johnson Foundation, London Youth were asked to create a series of workshops to find out more about young people’s views on age, ageing, and what they thought older people could offer them. Having worked with London Youth in the past they then asked sounddelivery to create some audio and multi-media reports based on what the young people said.

Intergenerational project for London Youth

Young people are being invited to give their views on how they perceive themselves in relation to their age and how they perceive age in relation to people around them.
