Project: youth training and audio slideshow
We recorded interviews with young people to produce a community-focused presentation for Peabody Housing Estates annual residents’ conference in 2007. Our audio slideshow brought the views of young people to the attention of the whole community.
Our reporter visited three estates, speaking with young residents about their housing and the local environment and encouraging them to record their own thoughts and interview each other. We also gave the young people cameras so they could take photos of their local areas to show their communities from their perspective.
Back in the studio, we combined the audio content and images to create a powerful and engaging audio slideshow. The presentation was then used to provoke discussion and debate at the residents’ conference.
