Brief

In 2007 the Peabody Trust asked us to create a community-focused presentation for Peabody Housing Estates annual residents’ conference.

Approach

Our reporter visited three Peabody Trust estates, speaking with young residents about their housing and the local environment and encouraging them to record their own thoughts and interview each other. We also gave the young people cameras so they could take photos of their local areas to show their communities from their perspective.

Back in the studio, we combined the audio content and images to create a powerful and engaging audio slideshow.

Outcome

Our audio slideshow was shown at the residents’ conference to bring the views of young people to the attention of the whole communityand to encourage discussion and debate about issues that are important to young residents.
