As part of our continuing #soundtalks series of events, run in conjunction with the Third Sector PR and Communications Network, we were delighted to welcome Kirsty Stephenson from the Child’s i Foundation to talk about their use of social media. As a surprise extra we were joined, via the power of Skype, by Lucy Buck the founder and heart of Childsi from her home in Kampala who spoke passionately about why she had started the charity and how their approach has brought them so much success.
sounddelivery are delighted to announce that we are facilitating a Guardian Voluntary Sector Network seminar on December 1st. Are you using multimedia content as effectively as you could to get your stories seen and heard? This interactive half-day seminar will bring together a stellar line-up of experts and real case-studies to ensure you have the vision, strategies and practical know-how to maximize the opportunities.
We’re delighted to be able to release our brand new training handbook for autumn 2011. The guide details our training workshops including our new half-day courses, looking at some of the most important social media trends.
If you’re planning on visiting your local library anytime soon expect to be welcomed by dozens of clip-board wielding teenagers (and a friendly sounddelivery face) directing you through the building to a series of exciting events and workshops. It’s all related to MyVoice – a 3 year project being run by the Reading Agency – which involves groups of young people (aged between 11 and 19) planning and running their own events , workshops, exhibitions and performances focused around reading and writing.
We’re delighted to announce the launch of our new not-for-profit arm, soundinnovation. soundinnovation’s aim is to develop innovative projects which tackle social isolation and give a voice to marginalised groups. Its first project is Give Us A Break, which tackles the feelings of social isolation that are too often experienced by people caring for an ill, frail or disabled family member, friend or partner.
May is set to be a busy month for us, as we roll out our Digital Media May series of training days and events. The series will see sounddelivery lead workshops in advanced social media skills, podcast production and an exclusive free event with Clare Horton of Society Guardian
Local people living in and around Sutton in south London are getting to grips with blogging and Twitter after taking part in sounddelivery social media workshops organised by Sutton CVS. The training was part of the Take Part Pathfinder initiative designed to build skills and confidence giving local people more input into local decision making.
After the success of our Web in Feb training month last year we’re running a Master the Web in Feb series again. The month will include training days, a networking event and a free social media surgery.

2010 has been an exciting year for the team at sounddelivery. We’ve worked on some amazing projects and with some fantastic organisations and we’d like to share with you some of our highlights. As we come ot the end of our fourth year, we thank you for all the support and encouragement you’ve given us.
