YHA

YHA programmes and activities provide opportunities for disadvantaged young people to broaden their horizons and explore the wider world. The work we’ve done with the organisation is varied and includes two films, an audio slideshow, a series of audio features highlighting the Breaks4Kids fund, a regional radio campaign to raise awareness around the School Trips initiative and podcast training for staff.

NCVO: Conference reporting

Youth Action Network

sounddelivery has an ongoing relationship with Youth Action Network, delivering training to their young people and youth leaders. We have also produced a series of audio case studies for their website.

Multimedia training in schools

As part of a joint project between a university, a community organisation and a primary school, we were invited to deliver two multimedia workshops for primary school children at Sir James Barrie Primary School in Wandsworth, London. Pupils developed skills in photography, podcasting and writing, so that they could tell their own stories about their local community and neighbourhood.

SocietyGuardian: Mental health podcast

We partnered with societyguardian.co.uk to produce a pilot mental health podcast to mark Mental Health Action Week 2008. The magazine-style programme – the first societyguardian had ever commissioned – featured psychiatrist Paul Keedwell, author and columnist Clare Allan and chief executive of the Mental Health Foundation, Andrew McCulloch. Clare previewed the TV adapation of her novel Poppy Shakespeare and poet Bose Dania talked about her experiences of depression.

UK Patent Office: Audio podcasts

The UK Patent Office commissioned us to produce a series of audio podcasts to support their Think Kit schools project – a free educational resource aimed at key stage 4 students.

Museum & Heritage Network for Warwickshire, Coventry & Solihull: Social media training

The Museum Development Officer for Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull asked us to build the social media skills of people working within museums and heritage groups in the area, taking into account the diverse needs of the participants.

Community Network: Video production

sounddelivery was commissioned to produce a DVD for Community Network, to highlight the work the charity does to support socially isolated people through telephone groups. The charity helps bring together people who are housebound due to caring responsibilities, illness or old age and provides them with opportunities to talk with a group of people who can share their hopes and fears.
