Our values
At the core of sounddelivery’s work is an ambition to create social change. Right from the start, we knew that we wanted to make a positive impact in areas where we feel we can make a genuine difference. Those areas are:
- tackling social and digital exclusion
- reducing social isolation
- giving a voice to marginalised groups.
We believe that digital and social media can be an incredibly effective tool for empowering people to tell their own stories and get their voices heard.
Values into action
Living our values is very important to us. We translate our values into action by:
- actively seeking out projects that address social and digital exclusion
- actively seeking to work with groups and individuals whose voices we rarely hear in the mainstream media
- giving away a percentage of our profits to initiatives that provide support for people who are experiencing social isolation
- incubating projects which have the potential to reduce social isolation or give a voice to marginalised groups, through soundinnovation.
soundinnovation
We’re serious about helping people overcome social isolation and providing a platform for marginalised groups. To help us achieve this goal, we’ve launched soundinnovation – a not-for-profit venture which incubates innovative projects that have the potential to deliver long-term benefits for individuals and society. Projects we’ve supported
Over the past few years we’ve supported several projects which aim to ease the burden of caring for an ill, frail or disabled family member, friend or partner. Projects we’ve supported include:
- Community Network – telephone friendship groups for carers
- Carers Together – carer respite opportunities
- for dementia – a pilot project for carers of people with Alzheimers to take part in telephone friendship groups.
